Tulloch launch landmark Drummond Hill development at historic site

9th February 2023

Drummond Hill, Inverness by Tulloch Homes.

Tulloch Homes has launched 37 luxury homes and apartments within the Drummond Hill Estate in Inverness as part of a prestigious £12 million development.

Located off Lochardil’s Stratherrick Road and within walking distance to Inverness Leisure Centre, a supermarket, Whin Park, secondary and primary schools and The Caledonian Canal, the exclusive homes are already gaining a lot of interest.

Designed by Tulloch Homes, Drummond Hill includes the sensitive conversion of a 132-year-old Victorian mansion house into six apartments with original features such as ornate fireplaces, cornicing, and oak panelling. The original house is thought to have been designed by famous Inverness architect, William Ross – the man dubbed ‘The Christopher Wren of the North.’

As well as the Grade B listed mansion conversion, the original gatehouse will be converted into a charming family home named Cherry Tree House with private gardens on the edge of the estate.

The development is nestled within the expansive grounds of Drummond Hill Estate, creating the feel of a rural retreat with beautifully landscaped gardens, mature woodland and a tree lined avenue yet only a short walk to local amenities and within two miles of the city centre and national transport links.

The Rose Collection of homes is made up of nine grand family homes that combine contemporary living with a countryside feel, while The Birdhouse Collection includes twelve two-bedroom luxury apartments, inspired by native pines, which offer breath-taking views over the city, River Ness and beyond.

A further six mews houses with private gardens and garages along with three cottages, set within expansive green space, provide a range of opportunities for young professionals, growing families and those who want a more relaxed pace of living, with a city close by.

All Tulloch Homes are highly energy efficient and built to EPC B standards meaning buyers can apply for a green mortgage. Each home within the development will also come with an Ashley Ann Kitchen, Siemens integrated appliances, a hot and cold boiling tap, internal oak doors, quartz worktops and a choice of flooring.

Jo McLaren, Sales and Marketing Director of Tulloch Homes said:

“We see Drummond Hill as a unique opportunity to live in a tranquil setting, surrounded by rich local history and near to the city.

“As well as providing contemporary, modern living spaces with family homes, mews, and cottages the renovated Victorian villa, with its traditional pink sandstone and classical detailing has been given a whole new lease of life and can be lived in once again.

“The population in Inverness continues to grow and the housing market remains extremely buoyant. We’re looking forward to seeing residents settle into their beautiful new homes at Drummond Hill very soon.”

In the first phase of homes released, prices range between £300,000 and £415,000 with floor space from 721sq ft to 1690sq ft. To see a walkthrough of the development watch Tulloch Homes video and for more information on Drummond Hill or to book an appointment, visit www.drummondhill.co.uk.
