Springfield submit application for new homes in Lhanbryde
12th September 2019
Springfield Properties, one of Scotland’s leading housebuilders, has submitted a planning application for 86 new homes to the East of Elgin.
The proposals include a mix of private and affordable homes, just off St Andrews Road in Lhanbryde.
With a range of apartments, bungalows, detached and semi-detached homes, the development would cater to a range of home buyers looking for a semi-rural location just a five-minute commute to Elgin.
The spacious layout design, submitted to Moray Council at the end of August, is surrounded by trees and planting, includes informal footpaths around the development and a children’s play park.
Springfield Properties North Managing Director, Dave Main, said:
“We received really positive feedback from existing residents in the area when we announced our plans to build in Lhanbryde at the public exhibition in November last year.
“Lhanbryde is a great village. It’s home to a primary school, local butcher’s and other shops, including a post office. It’s an easy drive to Elgin and is on a bus route to the town. There’s a garden centre just along the road and golf fans are in luck as Maverston Golf Course is a short drive away.
“Our homes are highly energy efficient, making them cheaper to run, built to high quality and include everything you would need in a new home from fitted carpets and kitchen appliances, to garden turf and fences.
“The construction of the development will bring work and apprenticeship opportunities to the area and support local trades and suppliers. We look forward to receiving the Council’s feedback in the coming months.”
