Springfield submits plans for affordable housing in Dundee
26th April 2023
Springfield Partnerships has submitted a planning application for 131 new homes along Main Street in Dundee.
Having lain vacant for a number of years, the developers are looking to transform this brownfield site with 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments and houses.
With energy efficiency in mind, the homes will be built with high quality insulation and innovative heating technology that doesn’t require gas, reducing the impact on the environment and helping to keep running costs low for the residents.
As part of the designs, and given the urban location, there are retail spaces incorporated along the street level to create business opportunities and further enhance the amenities already in the area.
Springfield Partnerships Managing Director, Tom Leggeat, said:
“We’re pleased to have submitted proposals to inject a new lease of life into a neglected pocket of land in Dundee. Our plans for 131 highly energy efficient and attractive homes will bring housing and business opportunities to the area while generating work for local trades and suppliers. We welcome the Council’s comments in the coming months.”
