Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup semi-final draw announced

13th July 2023

Shinty Semifinal draw

The teams competing in the semi-finals of the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup have been selected.

Managing Director, Sandy Grant, with Springfield Group Chief Executive Officer, Innes Smith, drew the teams at The Maples development at Ness Side, Inverness earlier this week.

Last year’s champions, Kingussie will complete against Kinlochshiel on 5th August while either Kyles Athletic or Lovat will play Oban Camanachd 12th August to secure a spot in the final. Venues for the semi-finals will be confirmed in due course.

Steven MacKenzie, Camanachd Association President said:

“As ever, the Semi-Final draw has thrown up two very fascinating encounters. Holders Kingussie will be looking to play in consecutive finals for the first time since 2011 but face stubborn opposition in 2021 Champions Kinlochshiel. In the other tie, 2019 finalists Oban Camanachd will face off with either Lovat or Kyles Athletic. Once again, we look set to have a great final on our hands with each team no doubt hyper focused on lifting the Camanachd Cup in the 100th Anniversary of the first final at Bught Park.”

Sandy Grant, Managing Director, Tulloch Homes, added:

“Shinty has long been an integral part of Scottish culture, weaving together communities and fostering a deep sense of camaraderie. We are delighted to continue our association with this celebrated tournament, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the teams that have progressed to the semi-finals. May the matches be a testament to the dedication and prowess of these remarkable teams.”

The 2023 Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup final will take place a stones throw from the Maples development, at Bught Park, Saturday 16th September. For tickets, visit: https://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Inverness/INVERNESS-Canal-Pitches-Bught-Park-IV3-5SS/2023-Tulloch-Homes-Camanachd-Cup-Final/36178780/
