New homes in Heathhall given the green light

One of Scotland’s leading private and affordable house builders, Springfield Properties, has been granted planning consent for 64 new homes in Heathhall, Dumfries. 

The development will transform a vacant brownfield site with a range of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom affordable homes with open green space and access to existing walking and cycle routes. 

Delivered in partnership with Cunninghame Housing Association, the homes will be stylish and energy efficient which keeps running costs low for the residents and is better for the environment.  

Springfield Managing Director for affordable housing, Tom Leggeat, said:

“It’s great to have been given the go ahead for new, much needed, affordable homes for people who need them in Dumfries and Galloway. 

“We’re excited to begin construction and are looking forward to what I hope will be the first of many ventures with Cunninghame Housing Association.”

Work to build the new homes is expected to start next year.
