Dawn Homes sponsors Bellshill and Mossend Bowling Club

Home builders Dawn Homes has supported Bellshill and Mossend bowling club ahead of the launch of their new housing development in the area.
The donation of £500 enabled the club, that was founded over 100 years ago, to host the 5-person mixed team tournament. As the first event held since the pandemic, with over 10 clubs heading to the area to compete, the donation has meant a lot to the club and their members.
Win Wallace, Vice President of the club, said:
“I know our members have enjoyed getting out on the green for a full day – myself included! Events like this are great – they bring old friends together and offer the chance to make new ones, but they aren’t easy to arrange. The donation from Dawn Homes has been a huge help and has been organised by some of our members’ Jacqui Forysth, June Grant, Fiona Kerr and Alex Arbuckle.”
One of the club’s longest standing members, Grace Love, competed on the day:
“I got into bowling through my husband and loved the game! It’s great companionship and I’ve made firm friends with a shared passion. Competition days are marvellous – it’s so lovely to be hosting and bringing people to our club again.”
